En els nostres temps l’arquitectura no ha de satisfer els desitjos o somnis d’una persona: l’arquitecte. Ha d’explicar i respondre a una realitat molt més completa; ha de satisfer els desitjos de la comunitat i ha de donar resposta a la seva ubicació a la ciutat.
La proposta es planteja com una seqüència de dos edificis units pel soterrani que s’orienten de forma que puguin construir i resoldre aquest àmbit de l’espai urbà. Es pretén no només resoldre l’interior dels volums sinó especialment generar qualitat en els espais urbans que aquests volums generen; l’espai lliure de la ciutat. Es tracta de “construir” l’anomenat “Espai Barça”, un nou espai urbà entès com a “campus” esportiu urbà on es materialitza l’essència d’un club de futbol i on aquest es relaciona físicament amb la seva ciutat. A través de l’espai lliure urbà el Club mostra de forma tangible els seus valors. Construint aquest espai el Club construeix la imatge que l’entitat dóna als aficionats, als ciutadans i al món.
Es planteja el Nou Palau Blaugrana com un pavelló multiús, flexible i multifuncional amb un disseny compacte i senzill. Una arquitectura prismàtica plena d’activitat.
El volum menor, encarat a l’estadi serà el pavelló de la sala principal, seu dels grans esdeveniments interiors.
El volum més gran s’orienta i construeix la façana de l’avinguda Dr.Marañón i albergarà totes les activitats d’entrenament o de menor aforament. Les cobertes dels dos volums podrien tenir pistes d’entrenament a l’aire lliure. La sala principal es planteja amb una excel·lent flexibilitat; apta per a tota mena d’esdeveniments de diferents esports i per a activitats no esportives.
Les façanes dels edificis són senzilles i transparents. Mostren amb sinceritat l’activitat interior i utilitzen el material ceràmic com a material protagonista. Mostren així un dels materials de més llarga tradició constructiva en el país.
In our time architecture should not meet the wishes and dreams of one person: the architect. It must explain and answer a much more complete reality; must satisfy the wishes of the community and respond to its location in the city.
The proposal is presented as a sequence of two buildings linked by the underground oriented so that they can build and solve this area of urban space. It is intended not only to solve the interior of the volumes but especially to generate quality in the urban areas generated by these volumes; the public space of the city. It's about to "build Espai Barça", a new urban space understood as an urban sport "campus" which embodies the essence of a football club and where this relates physically with their city.Through this public urban space the Club shows tangibly its values. Upon building this space the Club builds the image that the organization showcases to the fans, the people and the world.
The Nou Palau Blaugrana is set out as a multipurpose, flexible and multifunctional arena with a compact and easy design. A prismatic architecture full of activity.
The smaller volume, facing the stadium will be the arena venue, destined to major indoor events.
The largest volume faces and builds the avenue Dr.Marañón façade and will house all training activities or lesser capacity. The roofs of both volumes could house training outdoors courts.
The main arena design provides the highest flexibility, suitable for both multiple sport and concert entertainment.
The facades of the buildings are simple and transparent. They show activity inside sincerely and use ceramic as a main material. They showcase thus one of the materials with longest constructive tradition in the country.
 Es plantegen els nous volums contribuint a formalitzar la ciutat: el nou Espai Barça i les alineacions dels carrers urbans. The new volumes are designed contributing to formalize the city: the new Espai Barça and the urban streets alignments. L’espai entre els volums es converteix en un passatge de vianants ple de vida que permeabilitza els recorreguts del barri. The space between the two volumes becomes a lively pedestrian passage that permeate the neighborhood routes.  Les cobertes dels dos volums podrien tenir pistes d’entrenament a l’aire lliure.
